Shoppers at the SPAR in Chester will get the chance to win some prizes if they sing like a SPAR.

The retail giant is introducing SPARaoke Saturdays, their biggest retail moment of 2024, as part of its summer campaign ‘Make Me A Champion’.

The stores taking part are:

- The Parade, Blacon

- Western Avenue, Blacon

- Long Lane, Upton

- Elton Shopping Precinct

With a unique twist, customers can sing like a SPAR and win prizes like a champion.

Starting Saturday, June 22, and for the following four weeks, customers across England and Wales can grab a mic and belt out an iconic song in their local store.

The excitement doesn't stop there, as shoppers have the opportunity to win their entire shopping basket for free, plus the chance to bag a month’s worth of groceries.

The campaign, in more than 100 stores, aims to create a champion atmosphere and provide fun for customers while offering light-hearted relief from the tension of the summer's major sporting events.

SPARaoke Saturdays run from June 22 until July 13.

To participate is simple: visit your local SPAR; listen out for the iconic song via the in store radio; when you hear the song, dash to the checkouts, grab the mic and rock out.

A performance of at least 30 seconds could secure your entire shopping basket for free.

Potential winnings could include a range of SPAR’s tasty items.

A spokesperson for SPAR said: "We know that most champions belong on the world sporting stage, but we also know that champions secretly live within local communities.

"So, whilst you may not be getting a medal this summer, you can definitely feel the rush of being your local SPARaoke champion with SPAR!".

Selected SPAR stores across England and Wales will be sporadically playing the iconic song each Saturday for a month.

Stores in the area taking part are: Elton, Upton and both stores in Blacon.

Competition terms and conditions apply.
