THERE were three death notices in the latest edition of the Standard.

Death notices and funeral announcements will not only be available to view in print but also via our website, where they will remain as a permanent tribute to those that we have lost.

Alan Cross

It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Alan Cross on Friday 7th June 2024 at home .

A much-loved husband, father, and friend. He will be sadly missed, although it is comforting to know that he will now be reunited with his loved ones.

Death leaves a heartache that no-one can heal, love leaves a memory that no-one can steal.

 

Geoffrey James ‘Geoff ’ Lloyd

Peacefully passed away at home on 4th June 2024, aged 77 years.

Geoff left this Earth to be with his Mum Ivy, and Sisters Patricia and Dorothy.

Much loved Husband, best friend and soul mate of Sue. A doting and loving Dad of Viv and Caroline. Cherished Grandad of Belle and Charlie.

Much loved Brother of Marjorie. He will be missed greatly by Brother-in-laws, Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Colleagues.

Attentively cared for at home by carers and staff from Adaada Care Company Geoff worked for many years in Ellesmere Port as a plasterer, general builder, and later at Mayfields Care Home.

Funeral Service to be held on Thursday 27th June 2024 at Chester Crematorium at 10:40 a.m. Family flowers only please, however a donation in aid of Cat’s Protection and Alzheimer’s Research would be gratefully received.

Patricia Williams

Sadly passed away on the 8th of June at the Countess of Chester. Much loved wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
