With less than two weeks to go, excitement is building for the 2024 Blacon Festival.

The event, organised by Avenue Services, is set to take place on Queen Elizabeth Fields, Blacon Avenue, from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, July 6.

This year's theme is 'musical festivals', featuring performances from native artists, varied stalls, games and more.

Approaching its 27th year, the event is regarded as Chester's largest community-led festival, annually drawing in thousands.

Paul Knight, head of Avenue Services, said: "The preparations are almost complete and we’re really looking forward to welcoming people of all ages to enjoy another fantastic community celebration right here in Blacon."
