A man who was arrested following a drugs raid in Chester has now been charged.

Tahir Ahmed was arrested on Friday, July 5 after officers from Western Problem Solving team, with the assistance of beat management team and Chester Proactive policing team, executed a warrant at an address on Sherbourne Avenue.

The 30-year-old has since been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

Ahmed, of Sherbourne Avenue, Chester, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday, July 6, where he was remanded in custody.

He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, August 5.

A second man who was arrested during the warrant has been released on bail.
