A new axe-throwing centre will be officially opening in Chester this week.

Axt Haus, located under the historic railway arches in Kitchen Street by Chester Racecourse, will be throwing open its doors on Thursday, July 11.

The first of its kind in the city, the venue will see axe throwing instructors on hand to guide people as they aim to hit their targets, providing a safe but exhilarating experience for veterans and newbies alike.

As the experience is likely to build up an appetite, Axt haus will also be home to German-style hospitality, with schnitzels, pretzels and bratwurst on the menu, along with bier and Riesling.

Venue Owner Tash Scovell said "We are so excited to be bringing axe throwing to Chester and can’t wait for the city to see what it’s all about. This is going to be the place to be – nights out in Chester will start off more fun now!"
