A new boutique hotel could soon be opening its doors in the heart of Chester city centre at a Grade II-listed building.

Titled 'The Seven', the hotel would take the spot of Durwen House in 7 Stanley Place, Chester, between the Linenhall Car Park and Chester City Walls.

A licensing application submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council says the boutique hotel at the 18th century building would comprise of seven bedrooms.

The application seeks approval for the playing of recorded music and the supply of alcohol between 9.30am-6pm each day.

Each of the bedrooms would be en-suite, with three on the ground floor and four on the first floor.

Planning permission had previously been obtained for the building to operate as short-stay accommodation.

A website for The Seven has been launched, with 'exclusive luxury, personalised service and unique rooms' listed as 'coming soon'.

The website adds the hotel would offer 'an intimate atmosphere for a truly unforgettable stay'.
