CHESTER Racecourse is set to host an immersive weekend of music and racing as part of its Summer Music Weekend, featuring Ibiza classics and a special DJ set from Craig Charles.
Prepare to pack your dancing shoes for two unforgettable evenings on the Roodee, as race days dedicated to Ibiza Classics and the very best in Funk and Soul take place on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13.
Ibiza in Symphony will start the party on Friday night, as the captivating 10-piece orchestra bring their electrifying live show to the racecourse. Performing an array of iconic dance anthems at an Ibiza Classics Evening, the ensemble will have you singing, dancing and reminiscing to so many tracks you know and love after racing.
If that wasn’t enough, the volume will be turned up again on Saturday, when Craig Charles takes to the decks for Soul Sunset Racing, playing out smooth grooves and funky beats with an energetic, feel-good DJ set. The respected actor and broadcaster, host of the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC 6 Music, will be remixing a golden age of music for 21st century grooving.
Steve Davies, Chief Operating Officer at Chester Racecourse, said:
“We’re all set for two spectacular and unmissable days of racing and live music, where our guests can fully immerse themselves in the themes of our Summer Music Weekend.
“Ever since we first announced our amazing line-up of entertainment, we’ve experienced strong demand for tickets to attend, so don’t miss out on being at two of our most sought-after events of the season.
“No matter the enclosure you choose and the ticket you buy, we’ll be opening up the gates after racing so that everyone can experience the same access for all the music.”
