YET another unauthorised traveller camp has been set up in a Cheshire town.
This is according to an unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington operated by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The encampment was uploaded onto the log by the Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team yesterday, Thursday. July 11.
In total, 10 caravans and associated towing vehicles pitched up on Silver Lane in Risley, Warrington on Wednesday.
A council officer is due to attend the council-owned land, the log states.
This is not the first time the site has been accessed by travellers setting up camp unauthorised, with a number of camps being reported there over the years.
This is the latest one over recent days and weeks in Warrington, following incursions on land at Gemini Retail Park and businesses at Winwick Quay.
