An RAF military jet made a flying visit to Chester on Friday morning (July 12).
It wasn't around for long, but those with keen eyes and ears will have noticed the Eurofighter Typhoon flying from North Wales, approaching the city from the south west, just after 11am.
The military jet has been on a whistle-stop tour of the UK this morning, having started in Scotland and flown near the Orkney Islands, before journeying south, flying over the sea between the Isle of Man and the Lake District, arcing around Corwen before making its sharp banked turn right over Chester.
According to flight radar, the aircraft flew directly over Broughton, Blacon, Curzon Park and Westminster Park.
From Chester, the aircraft roared by Whitchurch and changed direction around Telford, heading due east to its final destination of RAF Coningsby.
- It's not the last time military aircraft are due to fly around Chester this weekend. The Red Arrows will be zooming by too in a fly-past - full details here: https://www.chesterstandard.co.uk/news/24447813.famous-red-arrow-jet-planes-fly-cheshire-weekend/
