CIVIC buildings in Cheshire West will be flying the St George’s Flag and be illuminated in red and white this weekend as England take on Spain in the Euro 2024 Final.
Gareth Southgate’s men booked their place in the final with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands on Wednesday night (July 10).
A penalty from Harry Kane and a sharp swivel and finish by Ollie Watkins in the 90th minute cancelled out Xavi Simons’ seventh minute opener for the Dutch.
Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cllr Louise Gittins today congratulated the team in a social media post and declared that the borough is ready to show its support ahead of the final in Berlin on Sunday, July 14.
⚽️ Congratulations to @England for reaching the #EURO2024 final.
