POLICE have launched an appeal after a 19-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision in Cheshire. 

Officers investigating the crash near Nantwich are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

At 8.08pm on Sunday, July 14, police were called to reports of a collision on London Road, Bridgemere, Nantwich.

The collision involved a HGV and a motorbike.

Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the HGV, a 35-year-old man, was uninjured.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information to get in touch with them.

Inspector Anton Sullivan said: “As part of our ongoing enquiries, we would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen what happened in the lead up to the collision, or the incident itself.

“We are asking people to please check their dashcam or CCTV footage for anything which may aid our investigation.”
