A trial date has been set for a man accused of the murder of 34-year-old Lloyd Velasquez.
Ben Ruddock, 20, of Kendal Drive, Ellesmere Port, was previously charged with murder following the death of Lloyd Velasquez in an incident on Summertrees Road, Ellesmere Port, at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, May 1.
At Chester Crown Court on Friday, July 12, Ruddock entered a not guilty plea to the charge at a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Honorary Recorder of Chester Judge Steven Everett set a trial date for Ruddock. The trial is due to take place on December 9 and is expected to last one week.
Ruddock was remanded in custody.
