New data research has uncovered the priciest property postcodes in the Chester area.
Professional fast sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2019 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the Chester postcodes.
And it perhaps comes as no surprise to find that some of Chester's most expensive homes are on streets where houses command stunning views overlooking the River Dee.
On Curzon Park North (CH4), 10 properties sold for an average of £1,435,375. On Lower Park Road (CH4), five properties sold for an average of £1,415,027. Also, Barrel Well Hill (CH3) saw three properties sell for an average of £1,341,666.
At the other end of the scale, at first glance it would appear some of the cheapest streets include Homedee House (CH1) (where 10 properties sold for an average of £47,995), Wenlock Way (CH4) (where three properties sold for an average of £49,166) and Chronicle House (CH1) (where four properties sold for an average of £49,998).
There is more than one caveat to the list of cheapest places to live in Chester, however. Some are at retirement living complexes or made for student housing, while some of the others are shared ownership homes, which see buyers own a share of the property while still paying rent to the housing association. This means some of the prices listed are as little as 25 per cent of its full-price market value.
The most expensive postcodes in Chester are as follows, by address, the average sold price, and – in brackets – how many homes were sold since 2019:

Commenting on the data, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “to keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.
“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Curzon Park North (CH4) sold for £3,150,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £33,000 and under on The Wharf (CH1), The Quarter (CH1) and Wenlock Way (CH1)."
