HIGHWAYS North West has said it is "dealing" faulty traffic lights on the Posthouse roundabout.
Over the last week, motorists have regularly reported the lights being out on the busy roundabout - which they say has been causing traffic "chaos" at busy times of the day.
One driver said: "It was horrendous coming from Wales at 8.30ish this morning - took me an hour and 10 minutes to get to work because of it instead of 20 minutes."
Queues on the A55 reportedly stretched back to Broughton this morning (Wednesday, July 17).
Other drivers have said the issues with the lights are an "accident waiting to happen".
However, some drivers have said that traffic on the roundabout flows more freely on the roundabout when the lights are out.
A Highways North West spokesperson said the agency is "aware and dealing with the issues".
They added that there is no current timeframe as to when the issues with the lights will be fixed.
