POLICE investigating a serious assault in Chester have confirmed an arrest has been made.
At 3.37am on Thursday, July 11, police were made aware of reports of an assault in Foregate Street, Chester.
A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital at this time.
A police spokesperson said: A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries."
