THE driver of a Royal Mail lorry was left seriously injured following a crash with a van in a Cheshire town.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and video footage following the serious collision in Crewe.
At about 5.55pm yesterday (Thursday, July 18) police were called to reports of a collision on University Way.
Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between two vehicles, a white panel van and the Royal Mail lorry.
The driver of the lorry suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.
She was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital where she remains at this time.
Her injures are not believed to be life threatening.
The driver of the panel van sustained minor injuries and was taken to Leighton hospital as a precaution.
