FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle burning tyres in Chester, it has been confirmed.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a call came in at 9.05pm on Friday reporting the incident, in Wrexham Road.
A spokesman for the organisation added: "One fire engine from Chester [attended].
"Crews used a main water jet to extinguish a quantity of discarded tyres alight at the former Park and Ride site on Wrexham Road."
