A SUCCESSFUL salon has added another award to its growing collection this month after taking home ‘Creative Business of the Year’ at the Fashion Week Awards.

The Beauty Secret, located on Chester Road in Helsby, is owned and operated by Giovanna Wheeler.

The salon was awarded ‘Highly Recommended’ in the categories of ‘Best New Salon’ and ‘Nail Technician of the Year’ at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards last month and Giovanna herself was previously nominated for Cheshire Woman of the Year 2023, for professional achievement and community service.

The Fashion Week Awards recognise the substantial contributions by emerging and established businesses who are shaping the media, beauty, fashion and creative industries and this year were held at Abode Chester as part of Cheshire Fashion Week, sponsored by Porsche Centre Chester.

The business has gone from strength to strength since opening its doors a little over two years ago, but Giovanna adds that even more “fabulous creations” and “exciting projects” are planned for the future.
