A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a crash near on the outskirts of Chester.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that a 24-year-old man has died after a crash on the A556 Chester Road in Delamere.
Officers were called to the scene at around 9.15am on Sunday (July 21) to find that a white Audi A5 had collided with the man’s orange Kawasaki ZC motorcycle.
The biker, from the Northwich area, died at the scene and his family are now being supported by specialist officers.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and police are now looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage.
Inspector Steve Griffiths, of the Serious and Complex Investigation Unit, said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are currently ongoing and as part of the investigation, I’m keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, has CCTV or dashcam footage.
“I’d also like to hear from anyone who was in the area are around the time of the incident and believes they may have seen either of the vehicles travelling on Chester Road.”
