A NEW rail campaign aimed at promoting nearby attractions and sustainable travel across Cheshire, Shrewsbury and Crewe has been launched for summer.
The 3 Counties Connect Community Rail Partnership has joined forces with tourism organisations Marketing Cheshire, Visit Shropshire and This is Wrexham for the ‘Three Counties By Rail’ project, highlight exciting destinations along throughout the region which are easily accessible from railway stations by foot, cycle or bus.
The new campaign will be accompanied by a handy map, which will be available from stations along the route and will make a perfect travel companion for visitors and residents.
Digital versions of the map are also available to download from the 3 Counties Connected website or any of the tourism partner websites.
The launch of Three Counties By Rail coincides with Transport for Wales Big Days Out summer promotion, with deals on rail tickets for families and at selected attractions.
To celebrate, 3 Counties Connect are running a special summer competition. They want to see your best photos or videos of your Three Counties By Rail adventures, whether that’s enjoying a day at the zoo or discovering a charming local café, and you could win a family day ticket (two adults and two children) to Chester Zoo!
