The University of Chester is hosting a series of free exhibitions, celebrating the creativity of its students, staff, graduates and resident artists.
These exhibitions, taking place at the Contemporary Art Space Chester (CASC), Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces, and Unit 14 in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, offer an opportunity to explore thought-provoking artwork and research.
One of the featured artists is Grace Currie, a graduate with a first-class degree in Fine Art from the university.
Her exhibition, 'Out of the Shadows,' is described as "bold, challenging, and explorative."
The exhibit, funded by Arts Council England (ACE), is inspired by Ms Currie's own experiences, global perspective, and challenges of living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
It is available for viewings from 11am to 3pm daily until July 27.
The next exhibition, scheduled from August 10 to 23, is the AA2A (Artists Access to Art Colleges) showcase.
The exhibition will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The series will continue into autumn with the MA (Master of Arts) Fine Art exhibition from September 28 to October 9, spotlighting the outstanding work of graduating artists and designers.
Associate Professor Bernadine Murray, head of the University’s School for the Creative Industries, said: "We have organised the series of exhibitions to showcase art, creativity, talent, learning and research, and get people thinking about the subjects explored.
"All the exhibitions are free, and we look forward to welcoming visitors as we develop the 2025 exhibition and events schedule."
