Two teenage boys have been charged following a serious assault in a park area in Ellesmere Port which left a 17-year-old in hospital.
A 14 and a 15-year-old boy were arrested at a train station on Tuesday, July 23.
The pair, who cannot be named due to reporting restrictions, have both been charged with section 18 assault, two counts of attempted section 18 assault, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
They are to appear at Chester Magistrates Court today (Thursday, July 25).
The charges relate to reports of a serious assault in a park area near to Mill Lane and Overpool Road, Ellesmere Port, at around 6.37pm on Tuesday, July 23.
Officers and paramedics attended the scene and found a 17-year-old boy had suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.
