Pints are looking to be pulled once more at the former home of The Plumbers Arms in Chester city centre.
A licensing application has been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council which would see the Newgate Street venue open once more, under a new name, 'The Flat Earth'.
Licensee Joseph Dunn is applying for a licence which would permit the supply of alcohol, the showing of plays, films, live and recorded music, performance of dance and indoor sporting events.
As well as alcohol and non-alcohol beverages, the new venue would also be an eatery, with food and drink being served "for consumption within the premises and in private adjoining outside areas".
The application seeks maximum opening hours of between 8am and 12.30am each day.
The Plumbers Arms served many a customer until its closure in October 2020. It served home-cooked food and a variety of cask ales.
In more recent times, The Hotel Chester opened up nearby on Newgate Street in April 2021.
