A Chester pub has taken over the running of a popular annual charity barbecue event.
For the past dozen years, couple Mike and Lynne Schofield had held the charity barbecue at their back garden, but the occasion grew to the point where last year's event had to be the last.
Fortunately, the owners of the Mill at Upton have been able to find a new, larger home, at its Liverpool Road venue.
The Mill will be hosting the Macmillan Charity Festival on Saturday, August 3 from noon.
As well as the ever-present barbecue serving up burgers and hot dogs, there will be live music, an ice cream van, charity raffles and auctions with great prizes.
The event will continue on into the evening inside the pub, where there will be karaoke, until 7-8pm.
All proceeds from the free event will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause which is close to Mike and Lynne's hearts.
