FIRE CREWS were called to an incident in Chester last night after reports of a fire involving a caravan.
Two fire engines attended the scene at a derelict site near Wrexham Road yesterday (Thursday, July 25) at around 5.45pm.
The fire involved piles of wood, tyres and rubbish, as well as an empty caravan.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Cheshire Police have been informed of the incident and the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
However, the caravan involved is not thought to connected to the unauthorised encampment at the Wrexham Road Park & Ride site nearby.
