Shirley Irene Cornick

Shirley ’Irene’ peacefully passed away on 22nd June 2024, aged 78 years. Reunited with her loving husband Leslie. Cherished mum to Susan, Hazel and David. Mother-in-law to Gary. Sister to Chris. Much loved grandma to Steph, Ellie, Connor and Bethany. Great grandma to Leyla and Jenson. Irene will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday 24th July 2024 at Plymyard Cemetery, Bridle Road, Bromborough at 2 o’clock. Family flowers only please, however a donation in aid of Müllers Children’s Homes and Operation Smile would be gratefully received. 

Stanley ‘Stan’ Griffiths

It is with great sadness we announce Stan’s passing, peacefully, at the Countess of Chester Hospital on 14th July 2024, aged 85 years. Re-united with his beloved late wife Joan, Stan was a much loved and very loving Dad, Grandad, Great Grandad and Brother. Stan will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday 7th August 2024 at Chester Crematorium at 2.40pm. Stan was a passionate LFC fan, so family and friends are invited to wear red in his memory. Sylvia Mary ‘Sylv’ Hurley

Peacefully passed away at Countess of Chester Hospital on 16th July 2024, aged 87 years. Dearly loved mum of Christopher, Richard, Sharon, the late Stephen, and mother-in-law of Wendy and David. Adored nan and great nan. Reunited with her late brothers and sister. Special friend of Alison, who she met with through Snow Angels during lockdown and remained good friends and neighbours Jose and Gill. Sylv will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral Service on Wednesday 14th August 2024 at St Thomas Church, Ellesmere Port at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Overpool Cemetery. Mick (Chuddy Mick) Whitby

Suddenly at home in Brook Lane Chester, July 2024, aged 65. A service will take place at Flintshire Memorial Park, Oakenholt Lane, CH7 6DF at 2pm on Thursday 1st August followed by cremation. It is requested that no one wears dark clothing and Trilby Hats worn if possible.
