A NEW bar offering ‘everything under one roof’ has opened in a Cheshire town.
Whether you are looking for a fun night out, a cheeky early cocktail or somewhere to sit with a pint and watch the sports while playing a spot of pool, the new Siren’s Bar & Clubroom in Culcheth, Warrington, has got it all.
Following a costly £75k refit, the former site of Liberty’s Gin Bar has been transformed into what now stands as a sports bar and club, with a private room available to hire.
Owners and married couple, Darren and Yasmin Rogers, from Stoke, acquired the spot, located on Common Lane, back in February, with big plans for its future.
Detailing some of the renovations involved in the project leading up to the bars opening, Darren said: “We had a brand-new bar top fitted, custom built. We took out a seven-foot fish tank and put a DJ booth in its place.
“We also took out the log burner that was there from the former bar and added seating booths and VIP booths.
“Brand new toilets have been fitted too, as well as a club room with a projector and a bar.”
The couple also installed new lighting and a dance floor to pair with the DJ booth, ready for live sets every weekend.
And Darren added that the private hire room could be booked out for a capacity of 100 people.
The 36-year-old dad-of-four is no stranger to the club scene, having ran nightclubs ‘up and down the country’ since he was 21.
But this is his first venture as the owner of the bar, he explained.
“I was born and bred in Stoke. I ran night clubs and worked for Fever Bars up and down the country, but I ended up back in Stoke and me and Yasmin were searching locally for a space to start up our own business.
“We chose Culcheth because it is an affluent area, and we are really happy with how it is going.”
Following the sad departure of much-loved cocktail bar Savannah 19, concerns were raised as to the future of the hospitality industry in Culcheth.
However, owner Darren has spoke of his optimism and belief in the future of the village.
“We have invested in the area because we believe in it, and I can only see the village going from strength to strength.
“There are others investing in the area too, with a restaurant opening down the road from us only recently too.”
Since the bar’s official opening in April, the owner stated that business has been good, with the offering of Sky Sports and TNT adding another collection of clientele to its doors.
“We have all the football and boxing on. On the night of the Tyson Fury fight, we had to stop bringing customers in, we were at full capacity. There were queues down the street.”
Some things to expect from Siren’s bar include pool nights on a Thursday and a live DJ playing sets every Saturday from 8pm.
Customers can also be enticed with a loyalty card, so if you buy five pints you can have one free on the house.
And an extensive cocktail list will be available to browse. If you get there before 8pm you can even purchase two for just £13.
Opening days for Siren’s Bar and Club Room will be from Thursday to Sunday. The private room however will be available to hire all days of the week.
Summarising the couple’s new business adventure, they both said: “We just offer everything under one roof. If you want a quiet one, a dance, a party night and cocktails, we offer it all.
“And we are a safe and secure place with a doorman on standby every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm onwards.”
