The much-loved comedy classic 'Bouncers' returns "by popular demand", to Storyhouse's Garrett Theatre in Chester.
Theatre company, Tip Top Productions, has revived the perennial favourite for new audiences.
The final rehearsals are now well underway, and the performances will run from Wednesday, August 7 to Saturday, August 10 at 7.30pm, including an additional matinee screening on Saturday at 2.30pm.
John Godber’s "Bouncers" (Remix), originally written in 1983, relays the tale of a typical night on the town through a cast of just four.
Amid strong language and adult themes, a variety of characters are portrayed, ranging from bouncers to intoxicated revellers.
Audience members will watch cast members switch between characters - and genders - providing a snapshot of an entertaining Northern night out.
The show's director and founder of Tip Top Productions, Peter Swingler OBE said: "Tip Top have staged "Bouncers" numerous times since our first production way back in 2001.
"After the 2017 production, we said "never again," but due to popular demand, it’s back and just as laugh out loud funny as ever!"
Mr Swingler continued: "It is often said that if a non-theatregoer wants to see a play, this is the one to start with.
"Each cast member has a special connection with John Godber’s unique creation, bringing their own touch to this beloved play."
Mr Jordan, playing the role of Judd for his ninth time, revealed: "Judd has a special place in my heart, and the lines are firmly burnt into the memory bank now.
"No chance they can be replaced!
"Is it time to hang up the tux and bow tie and never do Bouncers again?
"With a play this good, that audiences love so much, and that is such great fun to be in… the aim has to be for double figures now!"
Mr Kelsall, who plays Lucky Eric, said: "It’s a perfect mixture of pathos and base humour that captures the culture of ‘a night on the town’ in the 80s & 30s.. or my own youth!"
