FIREFIGHTERS were called to the scene on an incident on the M56 near Ellesmere Port last night (Tuesday, July 30).
Crews from Powey Lane and Ellesmere Port stations were called to J14 (Elton) shortly after 10pm to tackle a vehicle fire.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out a vehicle fire and dampen the area down. A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hotspots.
“There were no reported casualties.”
