A FIRE in a small area of woodland in Ellesmere Port was extinguished by fire crews last night (Tuesday, July 30).
Firefighters attended the scene at Gunners Park, near Thornton Road, at around 8.20pm.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and involved a pile of grass cuttings.
The fire was put out using a water backpack.
