A man from Chester has been charged with multiple offences following two incidents at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Steven Hall was arrested on Tuesday, August 6 following two incidents at the hospital which occurred that day and on July 31.
The 60-year-old was subsequently charged with racially aggravated harassment, use of threatening and insulting language with intent to cause alarm and distress and causing a nuisance at an NHS premises.
Hall, of Heron Place, Chester, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 7, where he was remanded in custody. He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, August 14.
Chief Superintendent Jonathan Betts said: “As this case demonstrates, we treat all reports of racial and religious harassment extremely seriously and will ensure that swift and robust action is taken against all those found responsible.”
