POLICE are appealing for information after reports of anti-social behaviour involving gangs in Bromborough.

On Wednesday, August 7 at around 9pm police were called to Bromborough Rake to reports of anti-social gangs who were allegedly in possession of weapons.

Damage was also reported to a Renault Clio nearby.

Police said no trace of weapons were found and enquiries are ongoing.

Chief Inspector Dave Morgan said: “We take all such reports extremely seriously and officers attended the location swiftly, by which point any group had dispersed.

“At this stage we cannot confirm the reports of weapons being seen, and nobody has reported any assault or injuries, but we’re keen to hear from anyone else in the area who saw, heard or captured this incident on CCTV, dashcam or other devices, so we can establish exactly what happened.”
