FIREFIGHTERS were called out to an incident in the open this morning, Friday.
A crew attended the scene in Station Road, Frodsham, at about 9.30am today (August 9).
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters extinguished a campfire with a hose reel jet due to concerns of its proximity to a forested area.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to make sure the surrounding area was cooled to avoid any re-ignition."
