A FUN-FILLED celebration of country life promises a great family day out.
Tatton Park’s farm is hosting a traditional English fayre over the bank holiday weekend.
A feast of activities will be on offer from Saturday, August 24 to Monday, August 26, from 11am to 4pm.
Children can hold adorable newly hatched chicks, pet baby goats and meet various other farmyard animals.
An egg and spoon race, tug-of-war, three-legged race and sack race promise plenty of fun.
Youngsters can have a go at a circus skills workshop before watching professionals perform at the end of the afternoon.
Ferret racing, archery and falconry and country craft demonstrations are among some of the many other attractions.
Farm manager Jayne Chapman said: “The country fayre is our favourite weekend.
“With so many family fun activities to take part in, what better way to spend the August hank holiday?
“This year we are delighted to welcome Richard Heath and his sheepdog on the Saturday and Sunday. A chance to see man and dog working together in harmony.”
There will also be the opportunity to learn some circus skills before enjoying a spectacular circus performance to end the day.
Visitors can meet the new Royal Golden Guernsey goat kids Rose and Ivy.
A steam engine will be in action and the Little Grey Fergie, the tractor promises to keep little ones entertained.
A selection of stalls will includ Mrs Darlington’s jams and chutneys and Great Budworth Ice Cream.
Tatton’s own pork sausages will be grilled on the farm barbecue.
