Little Sutton Methodist Church's kitchen has been revamped with LED lighting, thanks to a donation from housebuilder Redrow.
Located on Chester Road, the Church has been focusing on improving its community spaces used by church attendees and community groups.
An essential upgrade was to replace the kitchen lights with LED fixtures, bringing them in line with current safety requirements.
Pete Wildman, chair of the leadership team, said: "We have a well-fitted modern kitchen which is used on a regular basis.
"We host fundraising coffee mornings, run a regular parent and toddler group, and bi-monthly children’s church events.
"There are several community groups which hire our hall and kitchen on a weekly or occasional basis.
"The facilities are also hired out or made available for family parties, or for baptism and funeral catering so it’s wonderful that the lighting is now up to standard."
Redrow’s community fund, linked to Ledsham Garden Village, donated the funds.
The fund has split £10,000 between ten good causes and groups in the area.
Caroline Thompson-Jones, area sales manager at Redrow NW, said: "The Methodist church is a key asset to the community close to Ledsham Garden Village and we’re really pleased that the LED lights have now been installed which will benefit the church and all the groups who use the space."
