Queen's Park High School in Chester is celebrating some twin-credible GCSE results this year.

In another year of academic excellence, a total of 21 per cent of all grades achieved were 9-7 – equivalent to A*-A.

A special mention goes to five sets of twins in Year 11, who between them got a combined total of 43 grades at 9-7.

Results continue to buck the trend in post-pandemic education with higher than average attainment across the curriculum. More students are achieving grades 9-5 in English and maths and in at least two science subjects compared to national data.
