A PUB in Eastham has announced when it will be reopening following a two-year closure.
The Eastham Ferry Pub, located on Ferry Road, closed for refurbishment in November 2022 however the food and drink establishment is now preparing to reopen.
The building, which will reopen under the new name the Eastham Ferry Hotel, has undergone a refurbishment and is set to open as a gastro pub in October.
The venue was greeted with many happy reactions after it posted an opening soon post on its Facebook page.
Gilly Gem's Café said: “Oh amazing good luck can't wait to see a bit of life back into the place it's been very missed. It looks lovely xx.”
Melissa Samuel said: “Looking forward to you opening this place. Can’t wait to see it full of life ago. I’m sure with your energy you will do amazing.”
Karen Davies added: “Amazing can't wait to come visit xx.”
Although details about the opening are currently limited, the pub owner responded to some customers' comments stating they had restored five open log fires as part of the renovation, the bar would be open for those just looking for a drink and the venue would be dog friendly. The owner also announced that there would be updates on the restaurant’s new menus available via the pub’s Facebook and Instagram pages over the coming weeks.
A countdown to the grand opening is currently live on the Eastham Ferry Hotel’s new website which says the pub will reopen on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
