A CHESHIRE attraction has been named among the best UK theme parks for kids.
A new study has analysed a range of factors such as the number of rides, food outlets, average hotel costs and trip advisor rating to reveal the top ten children’s theme parks.
Compiled by Outdoor Toys, Cheshire’s BeWILDerwood site was ranked seventh in the list, with an overall ‘Park Score’ of 5.43/10.
Outdoor Toys said of BeWILDerwood:
“Featuring 24 rides and one food outlets, this park offers a great value day out perfect for young families. Here, local hotel stays average £95 per night and child tickets cost £22.50. Its charm is evident, with 627K annual searches.”
Based on the novels of Tom Blofeld, featuring a host of unusual woodland creatures, the outdoor adventure park has won multiple awards since it was first opened in 2021.
Drayton Manor, Staffordshire was crowned the UK's best theme park for kids, with a park score of 7.29/10. Spanning over 180 acres, the former manor in Drayton Bassett offers the most rides of any children’s theme park in the UK, at 47 rides.
There are also 11 food outlets at the park. In Staffordshire, the average price of a three-star hotel is £67 per night, the most affordable stay amongst all the UK’s theme parks. With over 2.2 million searches for the park in the last twelve months, it is also one of the most popular and costs £27.50 for a child ticket.
Other notable entries to the top ten include Alton Towers, which was the most frequently searched for park with 7,221,000 annual searches, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Thorpe Park.
