A festive musical concert is coming to Chester Cathedral later this year.

Dreamcoat Stars: A Musical Christmas will be staged on Tuesday, November 19.

The show will feature performers from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, including EastEnders' Matt Lapinskas and Keith Jack from the BBC's Any Dream Will Do.

The concert will include Christmas carols, festive classics, and well-known musical theatre hits.

The show promises a family-friendly evening of music and holiday cheer.

Audience members can expect a sleigh ride through a selection of popular West End and Broadway classics, such as Les Misérables, The Sound of Music, Dirty Dancing, and West Side Story.

The concert will also feature yuletide songs and carols, including Silent Night, White Christmas, O Holy Night, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and many more.

The production is by Matt Brinkler for RED Entertainment and Mr Jack, who also stars in the touring production.

Mr Jack shared his excitement about the upcoming tour.

He said: "Christmas is all about family, and we’ve made a big Dreamcoat family after two amazing tours around the UK.

"So I can't wait to bring our new Christmas show!

"I love everything about Christmas, the joy and the laughter it brings, the singing of Christmas songs at the top of your lungs, stories you tell, and the silliness you have with family and friends.

"Our Christmas show will be all this festively wrapped into one night.

"I cannot wait!"
