A destination spa on the outskirts of Chester hosted a special event for men living with cancer.

The Spa at Carden was the venue for the event, in collaboration with Made for Life Organics. 'Tea and Tools' was a special session designed for men whose partners may be going through cancer or who are navigating their own personal journey with the disease.

Spa director of The Spa at Carden, Emma Pridding, said: “We have had a long-standing partnership with Amanda Winwood and Made for Life Organics, and it is a true honour to provide a nurturing and soothing environment for men living with or undergoing cancer treatment.

"It was truly inspiring to see guests open up about their experiences, providing a much-needed space for relaxation, connection, and rejuvenation tailored to a male audience.

"Our goal was to offer comfort and kindness, and Jamie Edwards was able to offer excellent advice for guests to take away with them. We are grateful to everyone who made this day so meaningful."

One of the guests attending said: “It was really useful, and good to be with other blokes who have or are going through the same experiences.”

The session was led by Jamie Edwards, a renowned mental performance coach, who said: “This was more than just chatting about experiences. These men went away with tools they could apply immediately."

Navigating the emotional and psychological challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, whether personally or within your family, can be incredibly daunting. Difficult conversations, feelings of helplessness, and the struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy are just a few of the issues many face.

Jamie Edwards provided strategies and insights to help approach those situations with confidence and care.
