A charity rounders tournament has raised more than £400 for a Chester hospice.
The event, organised by law firm Aaron & Partners, saw eight businesses, including the law firm, compete to raise funds for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The other businesses that took part were Handelsbanken, Savills, Empire Global Finance, BA Commercial, Champion Accountants, Armstrong B2B, and Watkins Jones Group.
The event was held at Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club.
The law firm said the tournament was inspired by the summer of sport in 2024, which included the Olympics, Euro 2024, the Tour de France, and Wimbledon.
Helen Johnson, head of marketing and business development, said: "It's been a real summer of sport in 2024 with everything from the Olympics and Euro 2024 to the Tour de France and Wimbledon.
"We wanted to get involved in that and bring together some other local companies to enjoy an evening of rounders while raising money for a fantastic cause."
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides palliative care for people across Cheshire, South Wirral, and North Wales.
The money raised will help the hospice continue its work.
Alan Knell, philanthropy and relationship manager at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, said: "Thank you to all the team at Aaron & Partners for once again organising such a spectacular rounders tournament for the hospice.
"It's been a huge success and thank you to all the businesses that took part in the tournament and supported the hospice, helping to raise a fantastic amount of money for the hospice."
Aaron & Partners said the event was a success in bringing the business community together.
Ms Johnson added: "It was wonderful to see so many local businesses come together for a cause that touches so many lives in our community.
"We're proud to have contributed to the success of the event and to have supported the hospice in their invaluable work.
"We've been working really closely with the team there on a number of initiatives in recent months, providing support as part of our commitment to our local community.
"We have lots more planned too."
