TWO fire crews were called out to a crash on the outskirts of Chester.

Firefighters from Ellesmere Port and Powey Lane attended the scene on the A5117 at Hapsford at about 10.30am yesterday (Saturday, September 28)..

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the roundabout of the A5117 in Hapsford.

"The incident involved two saloon cars and crews used specialist equipment to remove the doors of one of the cars to enable one casualty to make their way out of the vehicle and into the care of paramedics."
