A NEW restaurant offering ‘mouth-watering street food dishes’ is set to open in a Cheshire village.

It is believed that Hungamaa is moving into a unit on London Road, Stockton Heath, that was once home to Cardamon which closed earlier this year after 17 years in the village.

It comes after a licensing application has been posted to Warrington Borough Council.

Residents have until October 28 to comment on the application.

Hungamaa, which provides Indian street food at ‘pocket-friendly prices’, currently has a restaurant in Chorlton.

Its website reads: “We have aimed to create a relaxing and friendly environment in which all of our customers feel comfortable.

“Our chefs use carefully selected ingredients to ensure that each dish packs a range of delicious tastes and flavours.

“Enjoy a cocktail, beer or the special Indian masala tea alongside your favourite dishes to make your dining experience even more memorable at our Indian restaurant in Chorlton.

“At Hungamaa we have created a comfortable atmosphere for all of our diners, creating the perfect setting for you to enjoy an enjoyable evening with friends and family.”
