TRIBUTES have been paid to a young Flintshire mum following her tragic sudden death.
Sarah Thompson, from Connah's Quay, was tragically found dead in bed by her 16-year-old daughter, Paige, last weekend.
The 34-year-old was also mum to Zaine, aged 10, and daughter to Gail.
Paying tribute to her daughter, Gail said: "She was really popular and had a huge group of friends. We have had people lay lots of flowers outside the house, which shows how many people she knew.
"She absolutely loved going to concerts. There was time when I picked her up from a festival and she was there with four people she knew saying they needed a lift as well, she was always trying to help people out. She was due to go to one at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on Tuesday. She'd bought a new outfit for it especially.
"Sarah was a very bright woman, outgoing and bubbly. She was really generous, always lending people money when they needed it."
Sarah had bravely fought off cancer in her voice box which was diagnosed in 2018. Sarah underwent surgery, leaving her mute for the next eight months.
"She really struggled, but despite all she went through she remained the best mum to Paige and Zaine," Gail said. "She idolised them, and absolutely lived for them."
Gail added: "It's just such a huge shock. We can't comprehend it, it doesn't feel real. There is a GoFundMe page which we hope will fund her funeral, and any spare money will be left for her two kids."
Over £2,400 has been raised, and the GoFundMe page can be accessed via https://bit.ly/3BuDKtC.
As a testament to her character, dozens of people have posted on Sarah's Facebook page with messages of condolence following her death.
Sarah's funeral takes place at the crematorium in Northop Hall on October 10 at 2pm.
People are encouraged to wear bright colours. Gail said: "Sarah wouldn't want it to be a sombre occasion, so we want it to celebrate her life."
