A Chester entrepreneur has been highlighted as a rising star.

Tom Moore, COO and co-founder of iAM, has been recognised as One to Watch in The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme for 2024, in partnership with The Times.

iAM, an e-learning platform for businesses that aims to make compliance and workplace training engaging and fun, has been operating for five years from its offices in Chester.

Created by trusted investment partner LDC – part of Lloyds Banking Group, The Top 50 celebrates entrepreneurs demonstrating remarkable ambition, and is now in its seventh year.

Business leaders featured in The LDC Top 50 for 2024 are making a real impact by creating jobs, promoting social equality, championing sustainability, expanding internationally and integrating purpose into their business practices.

The Ones to Watch are those individuals who are making great strides and growing their businesses. They excel in their industries, make a positive impact on their customers and employees, and stand out for their potential to achieve even greater success in the future.

Across iAM Learning and iAM Compliant, the innovative team of training specialists has produced over 300 learning courses for businesses in over 10 industries.

During the last five years, Tom Moore and co-founders Luke Pargeter and Tom Gagen have fostered a passionate and fun-loving environment that brings something special to workplace training and compliance management in the education sector.

Mr Moore said: “I’m honoured and grateful to be recognised in The LDC Top 50 Ones to Watch. The work we’ve been doing at iAM is really exciting and I’m pleased to represent the team and share our successes.

“My career has taken some interesting twists and turns. I honestly fell into the world of learning and development - although I've been a lifelong advocate of personal development - around 10 years ago.

"Since then, I've fallen in love with the challenges, the opportunities, the impact you can make and the people you meet.

“Being part of such a creative company and being able to put the skills I’ve developed to good use makes this recognition all the more rewarding.”

John Garner, managing partner at LDC, added: “It’s been seven years since we launched The LDC Top 50 and in that time we’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly remarkable people, and this year has been no different.

"I’d like to congratulate this year’s Ones to Watch on their achievements so far - we can’t wait to see what they do next.”
