A DAY nursery in a Cheshire village has been sold for the first time in 16 years for an undisclosed sum.
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has announced the sale of Rope Green Farm Day Nursery in the village of Shavington.
Rope Green Farm is a family-run day nursery that can accommodate up to 136 children, aged between zero and five years old.
The business was established in 2009 by Victoria Dodd, a qualified and experienced primary school teacher, and sits within the grounds of her home which boasts 100 acres of farmland.
Set in a renovated barn conversion, the nursery is surrounded by extensive countryside, offering children the space to safely explore the beauty of a rural environment.
Over the years, Victoria has implemented a unique and locally renowned childcare offering and, although it was a difficult decision, she recently decided to sell to pursue new ventures and the next chapter of her journey.
Following a confidential sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, Rope Green Farm Day Nursery has been purchased by expanding local group operator, Kids Planet Day Nurseries, which now owns over 200 settings across the UK.
Victoria Dodd, founder and previous owner, said: “Handing over Rope Green Farm Day Nursery to Kids Planet is a significant moment for both of us.
"It has been a huge part of our lives, and we are incredibly proud of what we have built over the last 15 years.
"However, we are confident that Kids Planet will continue to nurture the vision we have had for the nursery, ensuring the children and families that we care for will remain at the heart of everything they do.
"We know that, under Kids Planet’s leadership, the nursery will continue to flourish and we wish them every success for the future. We greatly appreciate the continued support we received from Sofia at Christie & Co throughout the process.”
Clare Roberts, CEO at Kids Planet Day Nurseries, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rope Green Farm into the Kids Planet family.
"The nursery comes with a wonderful team that acts as role models to the children and creates inspiring environments that closely align with our approach."
Sofia Beck, Director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, said: “After meeting Vicky and Chris for the first time earlier this year, I’m delighted at how quickly and seamlessly the process progressed for them."
Rope Green Farm Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
