A POWER cut affectinged two postcode areas of Chester today (Sunday, October 13).
Scottish Power said the outage was affecting the CH1 and CH4 areas of the city.
Areas affected included Grosvenor Street area of the city centre, as well as Westminster Park, Lache and Saltney.
A Scottish Power spokesperson said: "There is a power cut affecting the CH1 and CH4 postcode areas of Chester. We had no advance warning of the power cut and only became aware of it at 10.57am.
"Restoration is taking longer than expected because of ongoing network checks and investigations and our team are now working to get your electricity supply back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 4.30pm.
"Please speak with us if you are aware of any damage to the network or if this information does not apply to you. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
Power was restored to properties at around 2pm.
