FIREFIGHTERS were called to property near Chester yesterday (Sunday, October 13) after a fire was discovered in the chimney.
A fire crew arrived at the scene on Chester Road, Malpas shortly after 5pm.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Chimney rods and a chimney hose were used to put out a fire in the chimney of a house.
“All floors, including the loft space, were checked with a thermal imaging camera to check there was no heat spread.”
