CHESTER'S popular Wizard School has teamed up with the city’s newest visitor attraction to provide youngsters who attends the half-term event with a drinkable potion as part of their immersive experience.

With Chester Wizard School set to return to St Mary's Creative Space in Chester from Thursday, October 31 – Saturday, November 3, organisers have joined forces with The Hole in Wand in Eastgate Street and The Potions Cauldron to provide every young witch and wizard who attends the event with a specially bottled ‘potion’.

Chester Wizard School's Headteacher, Professor Hugo Igor Listworth, recently paid a visit to the Hole in Wand to check out the potions ahead of this years' Wizard School.

Now in its eighth year and recommended for ages five and over, young wizards and witches are given the opportunity to learn magical skills including how to cast spells, make potions and how to fly a broom under the expert guidance of Professor Listworth and his team of Professors in the spooky surroundings of St Mary's Creative Space.

Chester Wizard School is the brainchild of Phil Cross, who said: “Nine years ago at Halloween I hosted a wizard themed Halloween party for my mates and the idea was born, the following year we opened up our doors to the first batch of witches and wizards and each year it's grown and grown.

“We're now in our eight year of Chester Wizard School and lots of our young wizards and witches keep coming back year after year. Professor Listworth and his team work really hard to create a magical, immersive experience for the whole family. It's rumoured that this year a Unicorn might possibly appear in the grounds.”

This year, organisers are also running two SEND/relaxed sessions.

Speaking about the relaxed sessions, Phil Cross said: “Though we try to make all of our sessions accessible to all children, for those that might need it, we are running two reduced capacity, relaxed sessions.”

Anyone that has any access needs can get in touch with the organisers via chesterwizardschool@gmail.com and they will strive to help facilitate their visit.
