Police in Ellesmere Port are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious incident where a child was approached by strangers.
On Sunday, October 13, police received reports of an incident on Randle Meadow, near the junction with Brompton Way, Ellesmere Port.
The caller stated that at around 2.30pm, an 11-year-old child had been walking along the road when a black Audi saloon car pulled up alongside and the occupants tried to engage with her. They were not known to the girl, and the child left the scene.
Three men were arrested in relation to the incident.
A 44-year-old man and a 37-year-old man have since been released on conditional bail.
A 45-year-old man has been released with no further action against him.
Police are now keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with any information in relation to this incident.
Detective Sergeant Tim Cope said: “We are keen to speak to any witnesses to this incident as part of our ongoing enquiries, specifically a male and a female dog walker who were noted as being in the location at the time of the incident.
“Additionally, we would like to speak to any other individuals who recall being stopped and spoken to by two male occupants of a black Audi around this time, date and location.”
